THE SCOPE

With 30 years of history, today Gaming1 is one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). Its evolution at the heart of innovation is accompanied by a diversification and specialization of positions, with the creation of new cutting-edge jobs. As part of its sustained growth, GAMING1 is offering an exciting internship opportunity within our Data Science team.

We are seeking a talented and motivated intern to join us in fine-tuning a state-of-the-art open source Large Language Model (LLM). The primary goal of this internship is to enhance the LLM's capabilities to generate texts with the appropriate tone, vocabulary, and style to assist employees in various daily tasks, ranging from company knowledge navigation to marketing content generation, within the dynamic gaming industry.

YOUR ROLE

  1. Fine-tuning the existing open source LLM: As an intern, you will be responsible for training and refining the LLM to generate texts that align with the specific requirements and tone required for various tasks across the organization. This includes developing a deep understanding of the company's knowledge base, internal communication style, and marketing strategies to ensure accurate and engaging content generation.
  2. Evaluating and iterating the model's performance: Throughout the internship, you will actively evaluate the outputs generated by the fine-tuned LLM and collaborate with team members to gather feedback. You will use this feedback to iteratively improve the model's performance, ensuring that it consistently generates high-quality content aligned with the desired objectives.
  3. Evaluating and comparing performance: Throughout the internship, you will actively evaluate the performance of the fine-tuned LLM in comparison to other existing solutions. This evaluation may involve benchmarking against alternative language models or text generation techniques to assess the LLM's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. By conducting thorough comparisons, you will contribute to refining the LLM and ensuring it outperforms other available options.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python programming, essential for integrating the model into functional applications.
  • Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts and techniques
  • Experience with fine-tuning or training large language models is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges
